The poet and translator Peter Cole ran a translation workshop on Wednesday, November 13 (3-4:30) and invited submissions from graduate students interested in having their work discussed and reviewed. Because of time limitations, we limited the texts under discussion to no more than 3 but this was not meant to be a private translation class for 2 or 3 students. Rather, Peter and Adriana X. Jacobs selected three texts that covered a range of interesting translation issues and strategies. Everyone who attended the workshop received a packet with these texts and were a vital part of the discussion on these works.
