Dr Eleni Philippou has taught and held academic positions at Oxford and other British universities while pursuing research in the field of postcolonial and world literature, contemporary poetry, critical theory, comparative literature, and translation studies. Some of her key publications can be found in Critique, Translation Studies, Dibur, and her monograph, Speaking Politically: Adorno and Postcolonial Fiction was published by Routledge in 2021. During 2021–2022, she was the Principal Investigator of the AHRC-funded Prismatic Jane Eyre Schools project, which followed on from her postdoctoral work at the Creative Multilingualism project Prismatic Translation and the Oxford Comparative Criticism and Translation (OCCT) Research Centre.
She is an award-winning poet, with a number of poems published in both British and international anthologies and journals.
