African Classics: Translating Texts, Translated Contexts

TORCH International Fellow Antjie Krog, Professor Nkosinathi Sithole and Professor Chris Dunton, Professor of English and Dean of Humanities at the National University of Lesotho, presented the OUP Africa Pulse series and discussed translation in translated contexts.

Africa Pulse is a three year translation project that has seen several books by Classic African writers translated into English and published by Oxford University Press. This project has been coordinated by TORCH International Fellow Antjie Krog and the University of the Western Cape Humanities Faculty.
