I am a DPhil candidate at the Faculty of English, funded by the Open-Oxford-Cambridge Doctoral Partnership and Trinity College, Oxford. My research broadly looks at English translations of Marcel Proust’s A la recherche du temps perdu, focusing on the question of untranslatability. I have taught literary theory at St Hilda's College and worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for the MSt in Comparative Literature and Critical Translation. My research interests include modern and contemporary literature, translation studies, literary theory, poetry (especially contemporary Scottish poetry), French Studies, theories of reading, and empathy.
